Financial Services Veteran, Glenn Schaffrick, Joins Summit Team
CORVALLIS, ORE., August 14 /CNW/ - Summit Information Systems Canada, a
provider of advanced Summit and Fiserv technology solutions to Canadian credit
unions, has appointed Glenn Schaffrick as regional sales manager. Summit
Information Systems Canada is a business unit of Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV).
A veteran of the financial services industry with more than 20 years
experience, Schaffrick has successfully managed sales and client relationship
activities at Fincentric Corporation, Bank of America Canada, and Deak Pereira
Financial Brokers. In his new role with Summit, he will be responsible for
managing and achieving the company's iSpectrum sales objectives in the credit
union market. He will maintain an office in the new Summit operations center
located in Burnaby, BC.
"iSpectrum is a fresh approach to core processing that deploys the most
progressive technology and system architecture. For years the business success
of Canadian credit unions has been dependent on traditional core processors
that extended their applications by building on top of legacy applications and
dated architecture. Built from the ground up by a market leader that knows
credit unions, iSpectrum is better positioned to fulfill the operational and
market-driven needs of credit unions," Schaffrick noted. "I am very excited to
join the growing team of Summit professionals in Canada and look forward to
the opportunity of establishing long-term, strategic partnerships with credit
unions throughout the provinces."
"Glenn is well-regarded throughout the Canadian financial services
industry and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Summit," said
Kevin Sparks, president of Summit Information Systems Canada. "As iSpectrum
continues to set new standards of product quality and customer service, Glenn
will be a great asset and will significantly accelerate our goal of serving
Canadian credit unions with modern, advanced technology solutions."
iSpectrum is a comprehensive, browser-based banking system built by
Summit Information Systems exclusively for Canadian credit unions. Open at
every tier, and based on the powerful Oracle(R) relational database, iSpectrum
offers credit unions total control and flexibility to manage and customize
their products and services, or easily integrate third party solutions. The
blade server hardware and infrastructure design supported by iSpectrum
delivers true 24/7 operation, built-in business continuity and unlimited
scalability at a low total cost of ownership.
