pleased to announce that Mr. David Warkentin has joined SLQ in the capacity of
Chief Marketing Officer, effective June 24, 2009. Mr. Warkentin has 30 years
of hands-on leadership in sales, sales management and general management
experience. Recent career highlights include:
- Smarttire Systems Inc. - a manufacturer of wireless sensing systems
for commercial vehicles with an initial focus on tire pressure
monitoring. Mr. Warkentin held various senior level positions within
this organization from 2005 to present, including a successful tenure
as its President and CEO from 2006 to 2008.
- Intrinsyc Software International - a Vancouver, BC-based software and
hardware design engineering firm serving the wireless mobile device
market. Mr. Warkentin served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing
from 2004 to 2005.
- Silent Witness Enterprises - a Surrey, BC-based public manufacturer
of security cameras and digital video recorders. Mr. Warkentin worked
served with the firm from 2000 - 2004 as Director of Sales and
Marketing and played a key role in the company's acquisition by
Honeywell Security Systems.

Granting of Options
SLQ has granted options to purchase 350,000 common shares ("Directors'
and Officers' Options") to an officer of SLQ. The stock options permit the
individual to purchase common shares of SLQ over a term of five (5) years at
an exercise price of $0.16 per share, which equals the closing price of the
common shares on the TSX Venture Exchange Inc. on June 24, 2009. 150,000 of
these stock options shall vest immediately, with the remaining 200,000 options
vesting upon SLQ achieving certain performance milestones. Any common shares
issued upon exercise of the options are subject to a hold period expiring on
October 24, 2009.
