VANCOUVER, Oct. 1 /CNW/ - StrataGold Corporation (SGV-TSX) is pleased to
announce the promotion of Mr. Mark Ayranto to VP, Environment and Community
Affairs. Since joining the Company in January 2007 as Manager, Environment and
Community Affairs, Mr. Ayranto has made great progress lending significant
support to StrataGold's commitment to business development, the environment,
employee health and safety and community affairs. The promotion of Mr. Ayranto
to a Senior Officer of StrataGold will ensure he continues to provide
leadership in the sustainable development of our projects both in the Guyana
Shield and Yukon Territory.
Mr. Ayranto is a graduate of Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia
(B.Sc. Marine Biology 1996) and Royal Roads University, British Columbia (MBA
2006). He is a Certified Management Consultant through the Canadian
Association of Management Consultants and a Registered Professional Biologist
with the College of Applied Biology of British Columbia. Mr. Ayranto has
project management experience internationally and in Canada and has worked
extensively in culturally diverse environments.
Mr. Ayranto has been granted stock options under the Company's Stock
Option Plan to purchase 150,000 common shares of StrataGold. The options have
a five-year term and provide the holder the right to purchase shares at a
price of $0.49.
