Storm Cat Energy Corporation to Present at IPAA Small Cap Oil and Gas Investment Symposium

    DENVER & CALGARY, January 30 /CNW/ - Storm Cat Energy Corporation (AMEX:  
SCU ; TSX: SME) announced today that it will be a presenting company at the
Independent Petroleum Association of America's (IPAA) Small Cap Oil & Gas
Investment Symposium to be held February 6-8, 2007 in Boca Raton, FL.

    Storm Cat's President and CEO, J. Scott Zimmerman, is scheduled to
present on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 3:10 PM EST. Mr. Zimmerman will update
investors on the Company's coal bed natural gas development and drilling
program in Wyoming's Powder River Basin as well as discuss progress on the
Company's exploration projects in Elk Valley British Columbia, the
Fayetteville Shale in Arkansas and the Mannville plays in Alberta.
