Stellar hits 29.4 and 17.4 gr/t Au within an intercept of 5.82 gr/t Au on 8.9 meters and cuts two new gold bearing veins at Vassan

LAVAL, QC, Oct. 2 /CNW/ - Stellar is pleased to announce that the 2007
spring-summer drilling program on Vassan was highly successful as Stellar
demonstrated that the main structure (H-3) is still present around the
600 metres level and that two new parallel structures appear below the
400 metres level.
Stellar has completed its spring-summer drilling program on its 100%
owned Vassan property, located within the Val d'Or mining camp. A total of
seven holes were drilled to test the depth extension if the Hamelin gold zone
(4,932 metres). Three holes, drilled directly down dip of the known
mineralized structure, hit one or more gold-copper intercepts over metric core
length. A total of seven holes were completed.
The latest drilling program demonstrated two important facts:

    1. The Hamelin zone (H-3), reappears very strongly below 500 meter
       (V2007-04: 5.82 g/t Au over 8,90 m)
    2. Two new veins appear below the 400 meter level (H-1 and H-2). Vein H-1
can be followed so far for 200 metres vertically by 200 metres

The following table gives a list of all mineralized intervals above 1 g/t
Au cut during this program (plus one zinc intercept).

It is important to note that the 8.9 metre intercept in hole V2007-04 does
not represent true width as the core angle appeared quite low for that
particular structure. Average core angle for the fore mentioned intervals is
40-45 degrees.
It becomes clear that the Hamelin vein system plunges vertically and that
it consist of a multiple veins system at depth compared to a single vein from
surface down to the 400 metres level. The following table gives a list of the
intersections obtained to date in vein H-1.

    Vein H1
Drill Hole Length (m) Au g/t Cu %
    AB-98-01 1.0 16.39 0.42
    V2007-02 2.2 10.52 0.47
    V2007-03 0.6 3.05 0.15
    V2006-13 0.62 5.86 0.13
    V2007-06 0.55 2.36 0.12
    V2007-05 1.90 6.34 0.10
    V2007-07 0.40 1.78 0.13

The company is therefore planning a new round of drilling for the fall. A
5,500 metres program is scheduled to start in mid-October. This program will
test Vein H1 between the 400 and 600 metre levels. Before reaching vein H-1,
the proposed drill holes will intersect the projection of vein H-3 between the
350 and 550 metre level.
All samples were prepared and assayed at Laboratoire Expert of
Rouyn-Noranda. Samples were analyzed by FA with FA-Grav. finish for results
above 1 g/t Au. Stellar has a QAQC program which includes the systematic use
of standards, blanks, duplicates and re-assaying (twice) of all samples above
10 g/t Au. The drilling program was carried out under the supervision of
Pierre O'Dowd, geologist and qualified person as per NI43-101. Mr. O'Dowd
reviewed and approved the present press release.
