OTTAWA, Aug. 28 /CNW Telbec/ - "The Quebec family has been made a little
smaller today with the death of Michel Vastel.
For 32 years, with enthusiasm, originality and remarkable clarity, Michel
was a bright light on the Canadian political scene, sharing with us his equal
talents for the written press, for radio, for television and as a biographer.
Everyone who knew him would not be surprised that he continued to work
for as long as he could.
His name figures prominently on the list of great Quebec journalists.
To his spouse Geneviève and his daughters Violaine, Anne and Marie, I
offer my most sincere condolences on behalf of the Government of Canada."
