TORONTO, Sept. 18 /CNW/ - Star Navigation Systems Group Ltd. ("Star"),
today announces that it has commenced litigation in the Ontario Superior Court
of Justice against, among other parties, its former President, Hilary Vieira.
A Statement of Defense and Counterclaim was issued in the Superior Court
September 4, 2007.
As previously announced, Vieira was terminated for cause on January 4,
2007. The litigation follows a review of Vieira's conduct while he was an
officer and director of Star and the period following the termination of his
Star has also commenced litigation against Aeromechanical Services Ltd.
(AMA: TSX-V), Thomas Stevenson, Global Management Group Ltd., I -Trax
International Corp. et al. The Counterclaim includes claims for damages,
breaches of contract, breaches of fiduciary duties, punitive damages,
injunctive relief and claims for disgorgements of profits from a number of
Defendants by Counterclaim, including Hilary Vieira. Star intends to
vigourously pursue this action to the fullest extent of the law.
