TORONTO, Aug. 16 /CNW/ - Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations
announces the following index changes:
- The shareholders of Real Resources Inc. (TSX:RER) and TriStar Oil &
Gas Ltd. (TSX:TOG) have agreed to the plan of arrangement whereby the
two companies will be combined under the name TriStar Oil & Gas Ltd.
Real Resources shareholders will receive one new TriStar share for
each share held. TriStar shareholders will receive 0.4762 shares of
new TriStar for each share held. Real Resources will be removed from
the S&P/TSX SmallCap and Equity SmallCap indices and the relative
weight of TriStar Oil & Gas will increase in the same indices to
reflect the issuance of shares as part of the transaction, which will
be effective after the close of Friday, August 17, 2007.
Company additions to and deletions from an S&P equity index do not in any
way reflect an opinion on the investment merits of the company.
