St. Eugene commences another round of definition drilling at Moyie zinc/silver/lead project

VANCOUVER, Oct. 22 /CNW/ - (TSX.V: SEM) Rolly Trenaman, President
announced today that the Company has resumed drilling on the Society Girl
target at its Moyie zinc/silver/lead project located 20 kms south of
Cranbrook, BC. Plans call for an additional 850 metres of diamond drilling in
four holes.
The Moyie Project consists of a large land package in southeastern
British Columbia which is being explored for Coeur d'Alene-style mineral
deposits. Exploration of a portion of the property in 2006 identified
six targets which warranted drilling. Three of these targets fall along the
trend of the St. Eugene break, the structure which hosted the former
TeckCominco's St. Eugene mine. The North Zone, one of the targets,
approximately one kilometre north and parallel to the St. Eugene structure,
was confirmed by drilling this spring. Confirmation of this parallel structure
opens up the potential to double the number of targets for zinc/silver/lead
deposits on the property.
In addition to the positive results obtained on the North Zone, drilling
on two of the targets --Vent and Society Girl -- has yielded sufficient
evidence to suggest underground development should be the next logical step to
establishing mineral resources. Further drilling is recommended on the North
Zone, Aurora and John D targets, and the View target is still to be drilled.
Results to date confirm the geological model being employed, which objective
is the identification of a number of plus one million ton deposits.
The current drilling on the Society Girl will add to the information base
and will assist in the decision making process regarding underground
The Moyie Project is located in an historic metal mining district, which
stretches from Idaho's Coeur d'Alene silver/lead mining camp, one of the
world's largest, to BC's 150-million-ton Sullivan zinc/silver/lead mine.
Zinc/silver/lead ores have been continuously produced from this area for more
than 110 years. From 1900-1911, the St. Eugene Mine reportedly produced
approximately 1.4 million tons of ore grading 5% zinc, 15% lead and 7opt
silver from three main ore shoots - Lakeshore, Moyie and St. Eugene.
