Specialty Foods Group Income Fund Announces Change in Management


    TORONTO, Oct. 12 /CNW/ - Specialty Foods Group Income Fund (the "Fund")
(NEX: HAM.UN.H) announces the appointment of Steven P. Wright as Chief
Financial Officer of Specialty Foods Group, Inc. ("SFG" or the "Company"). Mr.
Wright has been Corporate Controller at SFG and is an exceptional executive
with a distinguished career in finance and accounting, including 13 years in
the meat industry. Mr. Wright has been a key contributor to the Company's
financial reporting and internal control processes. We believe he will
continue to make a significant contribution to SFG.
    David S. Shapland, former Chief Financial Officer of SFG, has resigned.
"The decision to resign allows me to spend more time with my family," Shapland
