Special shareholders' meeting to be held on September 21, 2007 to approve shareholder rights plan

    CALGARY, Aug. 21 /CNW/ - Pulse Data Inc. ("Pulse" or the "Company")
announces that a special shareholders' meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m.
(Calgary time) on September 21, 2007 at the Calgary Petroleum Club to approve
the previously announced shareholder rights plan.
    Pulse expects to mail an information circular for the special
shareholders' meeting by August 31, 2007 to its shareholders of record at
August 24, 2007.
    In accordance with the TSX Company Manual when a shareholder rights plan
is adopted after the announcement of a takeover bid for the company, the TSX
has advised Pulse that it is deferring its consideration of the acceptance for
filing of the shareholder rights plan until such time as the TSX is satisfied
that the Ontario Securities Commission will not intervene pursuant to National
Policy 62-202 regarding defensive tactics.
