announce the signing or its largest dollar value contract to this year with
Winnipeg International Airport (WIA). In energy terms the unit will be second
in size only to one installed previously at the Edmonton International
The central boiler room will be equipped with a Sofame direct contact
heat recovery system "Hybrid Percomtherm" to recover energy from the boilers'
flue gases. This new energy recovery installation will help the Airport
significantly reduce its energy bill as well as to reduce its Green House
Gases Emissions (GHG), a significant step toward achieving Canada's KYOTO
This unit will be the second largest equipment of Sofame installed in
airports; the largest one is installed at the Edmonton International Airport.
This Hybrid Percomtherm unit is also equipped with its own burner reducing
capital expenses for boilers. The order valued is in the seven digits.
Sofame has also installed four direct contact units in the new boiler
room of the renovated Montreal Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport.

this state of the art system utilizing technology which will reduce its fossil
fuel consumption and greenhouse gases emissions (GHG).
