ABBOTSFORD, BC, Aug. 1 /CNW/ - The Canadian Forces Snowbirds are
scheduled to arrive at the Abbotsford International Airport August 7 at 11:30
a.m. in preparation for the 45th Abbotsford International Air Show August 10,
11 and 12.
"The Canadian Forces Snowbirds are looking forward to performing at the
Abbotsford International Air Show, a premier aviation event in Canada," said
Major Robert Mitchell of Victoria, B.C., Commanding Officer and Team Lead,
Canadian Forces Snowbirds. "It is an honour for us to fly Canada's colours
across North America and to represent the Canadian Forces."
As proud ambassadors of the Canadian Forces and Canada, the Snowbirds are
honoured to represent the skill, professionalism and teamwork of the men and
women of Canada's military.
Four of the nine Canadian Forces Snowbirds pilots that fly in the show
are from British Columbia. Major Robert Mitchell, Commanding Officer and Team
Lead, is from Victoria, B.C. Captain Sean Hanson, Snowbird 6, is from
Richmond, B.C. Captain Mike French, Snowbird 7, is from Langley, B.C. Captain
Christian Dallamore, Snowbird 9, is from Fort Fraser, B.C.
With thrilling military air demonstrations, heritage flights, historic
Warbird performances and a multitude of ground displays, the Abbotsford
International Air Show offers hours of exciting entertainment.
