Skinny-dipping in February?

    TORONTO, Feb. 3 /CNW/ - Why, of course! Skinny-dipping isn't just for
summer. The Ontario Roaming Bares are proving it by hosting their 25th
wave-pool swim this Saturday in Richmond Hill. They're celebrating 15 years of
nude events in the Toronto area.
Sure, it's fun to swim nude outdoors in the summer, at Hanlan's Beach or
a naturist campground. But it's just as much fun in the "off" season.
In 1993, Torontonian Ron Schout formed a group to find places for nude
swims indoors-and the Ontario Roaming Bares sprang up. ORB member Carman
Batchelor put in exhausting hours to locate a pool that would allow swimming
au naturel. Now the ORBs host nude swims in several Toronto-area pools. Some
swims have more than a hundred participants, from all ages.
The ORBs also go in for bowling, indoor mini-golf, movies, and parties,
and visit the many naturist campgrounds in Ontario.
Do the ORBs fill a need? "They certainly do," explains founder Ron
Schout. "Many people interested in nude events can't get to the campgrounds
because of price or distance. So we provide outings that are inexpensive and
near public transit routes. And since our founding, similar clubs have
operated in London, Ottawa, and Newmarket, Ontario."
The ORBs are open to families and singles equally, and all ages.
