MONTREAL, June 4 /CNW Telbec/ - The shareholders of Expo Canada France,
SIAL SA, Agri-Food Export Group Quebec-Canada, and the A.D.A (Association des
détaillants en alimentation du Québec) have announced that SIAL Montreal will
now be an annual event. The next show is planned for Montreal's Palais des
Congrès convention center April 23 to 25, 2008.
After a development and launch period during which it was held every two
years, SIAL Montreal has become an annual event. Like other North American
food and distribution market events, SIAL Montreal will now be presented every
year, allowing exhibitors and visitors to stay more in tune with market
developments and business opportunities.
The growing success of SIAL Montreal over its first four editions has
made it a must-attend event on the Quebec, Canada, and international tradeshow
circuit. The figures say it all: 97% of visitors surveyed(1) were either very
or fairly satisfied with their visit at Sial Montreal and 85% of exhibitors
surveyed(2) reported being either very or fairly satisfied they took part in
SIAL Montreal 2007. In all, over 13,000 visits from buyers from the agrifood,
distribution, and restaurant industries attended the event during the three
days it ran in 2007.
A tradeshow on the cutting edge of trends and innovations
"The food business is now a global phenomenon, and it's growing
constantly and at an increasingly rapid pace," stated Expo Canada France
executive director Mathieu Herrou. "Making SIAL Montreal an annual event will
meet the needs of professionals in agrifood, distribution, and the restaurant
sector by enabling them to follow changes, innovations, and trends more
Mark your calendars now for more of the same professionalism, innovation,
and fun at the 2008 edition!
