Shortage of water at Christmas time

TORONTO, Dec. 24 /CNW/ - This morning Canadians got up and went about
their daily routines for Christmas season. Without any thought to the water
flowing freely out of their taps. Water we use to make coffee, cook, bath,
clean... drink. Fresh safe water is something we take for granted. It is
colorless, odorless and safe.
This is not however the reality for 1.1 billion people who get up each
day not knowing where they will get clean water. In these areas of the world
one child dies every 15 seconds from a water related illness and 2.3 billion
people live without basic sanitation. Water, the most essential ingredient
next to air that the human body needs to survive simply does not exist for
these people.

Living Water Canada are asking Canadians to give a cup of clean water at
Christmas time.

For less than a cup of coffee Canadians can change the world this
Christmas one life at a time.
