"Hundreds of local health charities across the country have come to
depend on the funds harvested through the Tree of Life campaign," said Lisa
Gibbs, Manager, Community Investment, Shoppers Drug Mart. "Together with our
Pharmacist-Owners and their teams at store-level, our employees and customers,
we hope to raise $2 million for healthcare programs and services to help
improve the quality of life in our communities."
Held each autumn, the Tree of Life campaign gives customers the
opportunity to purchase and personalize their own "leaf" for a loonie, "maple
leaf" for $5, or an "apple" for $50. Each "leaf" and "apple" is then attached
to a Tree of Life which is prominently displayed in all participating stores.
This year's campaign will run from September 13th until October 10th.

the Tree of Life campaign has raised $9 million in support of over 300
Canadian healthcare related charities.
