No service available while data centre moved
VANCOUVER, Jan. 4 /CNW/ - ICBC's driver licensing centres and systems will close earlier than
normal on Friday, January 7, and be unavailable all day Saturday,
January 8, to upgrade information systems in a new data centre.
The disruption means the following driver licensing centres (DLCs),
normally open on Friday evenings, will close their doors at 4:30pm on
Burnaby - 3880 Lougheed Highway, Burnaby
Metrotown (Burnaby) - Metrotown Mall, 4820 Kingsway, Burnaby
Richmond - Ironwood Plaza, 11662 Steveston Highway, Richmond
Cloverdale (Surrey) - Clover Square Mall, 17700 56th Avenue, Surrey
Guildford (Surrey) - Boardwalk Mall, 15285 101st Avenue, Surrey
Surrey - 13426 78th Avenue, Surrey
Victoria - 1150 McKenzie Avenue (at Borden), Victoria
The four DLCs normally open Saturdays - Metrotown, Richmond, Cloverdale,
and Guildford - will be closed on Saturday, January 8.
Appointed agents across the province that deliver services on ICBC's
behalf will also be impacted by the information systems outage. These
offices will be open and provide services other than driver licensing
and payment of driving related fines.
Drivers who want to release their vehicle from a 30-day or 60-day
impoundment on January 8 should make arrangements for release
applications earlier in the week. Customers whose vehicles have been
impounded for shorter periods (2 days or 7 days) can make arrangements
with the impound lot directly.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
