Reknown French civil aviation institute to purchase two Mechtronix Garmin
1000 instrument panels for DA-40/42
MONTREAL, Oct. 30 /CNW Telbec/ - SEFA (Service de l'Exploitation et de la
Formation Aéronautique), France's national, public flight-training
institution, has selected Mechtronix as a supplier for its flight training
tool development project. This sale to an aeronautical reknown public
institution reenforces, Mechtronix' expertise in glass avionics suites.
Mechtronix has recently delivered a major order of glass avionics suites
equipped with the Garmin 1000 panel to other training institutions.
Mechtronix will be supplying instrument panels to be incorporated into
flight training devices manufactured by SEFA, for students to use them as part
of their instrument training. The two educational simulators will become a
component of SEFA's fleet renewal process. The organization recently placed an
order for DA-40 and DA-42 aircraft.

SEFA (Service de l'Exploitation de la Formation Aéronautique), is a
service of the French government, under the Direction Générale de l'Aviation
Civile (Civil Aviation Authority), which forms part of the Ministère de
l'écologie, du Développement et de l'Aménagement durables (Ministry of the
Environment, and Sustainable Development and Management). SEFA is involved in
pilot training (including airline pilots and pilot instructors), and puts
aircraft at the disposal of the Civil Aviation Authority for the purpose of a
variety of missions (including personnel training and calibration of
radio-frequency navigation equipment). In order to fulfil its mission, SEFA
manages a fleet of 130 aircraft, and operates educational and pilot training
missions, as well as aircraft maintenance education, through 10 centres
