Highly regarded industrial sales and leasing team
joins Avison Young's Mississauga brokerage operations

MISSISSAUGA, ON, April 11 /CNW/ - Martin Dockrill, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the company's Mississauga office, announced today that leading commercial real estate brokers Sally Fitzpatrick and Mark Sevenpifer have joined Avison Young's brokerage operations in Mississauga.

Effective immediately, Fitzpatrick and Sevenpifer join Avison Young as Principals, focusing on industrial sales and leasing in the GTA West market. They were most recently with Colliers International in Mississauga.

"Sally and Mark are a proven and highly-experienced industrial team," comments Dockrill. "Mark is well respected in the Toronto real estate market and his strong marketing abilities, knowledge of the region and commitment to focusing on clients' needs place him among the best industrial listing agents in the business. Sally is acknowledged in the industry as a highly-skilled business developer and has been involved in many of the GTA's largest industrial transactions. We are very excited to have Sally and Mark join our growing Mississauga team."

With 17 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, Fitzpatrick specializes in the sale and leasing of industrial properties, land and design-build projects across Canada. She has been involved in more than 25 million square feet (msf) of industrial transactions and has been a top performer in the industry since joining Royal LePage Commercial in 1994. In 2010, Fitzpatrick and Sevenpifer negotiated Canada's largest industrial deal - an 860,000-sf lease to Olympia Tile in Vaughan, Ontario.

Sevenpifer began his commercial real estate career in 1995 with Royal LePage Commercial. Prior to that, he spent several years working in the building industry and has been involved in the construction of multi-residential, commercial and industrial properties. Over the years, Sevenpifer has participated in some of the largest listings in the industrial marketplace, including the leasing of a 1.1-msf industrial building in Brampton (Ontario), the largest speculative industrial development project ever constructed in Canada.

"The opportunity offered to us to join Avison Young is one we are humbled and thrilled with," says Fitzpatrick. "After 17 years in the business, to now be involved in building the leading global real estate solutions company is going to be great fun. We look forward to sharing our real estate experience and offering our clients intelligent solutions to their real estate needs."

Sevenpifer adds: "We are very excited to be part of Avison Young's aggressive growth strategy, which will help further increase our presence in the industrial marketplace locally, nationally and globally. I look forward to working with the committed management team and brokers in developing ways to better serve our clients."

Over the past two years, Avison Young has grown from 11 to 23 offices and from 300 to more than 700 real estate professionals across Canada and in the U.S.

Founded in 1978, Avison Young is Canada's largest independently-owned commercial real estate services company and the only national, Canadian-owned, principal-managed real estate brokerage firm in the country.
