Russian Customers Select 2007 DECT Products

    RICHMOND, BC, April 18 /CNW/ - Ascalade Communications Inc. ("Ascalade"
or "the Company") (TSX: ACG) today announced that its key Russian customers
have selected the new 2007 DECT cordless phone models for their consumers in
their geographic markets.
    Ascalade's Russian customers are leading distributors for consumer
electronic products for the home. Offering their end consumers a variety of
electronic household products, including DECT cordless phones, each customer
has an established brand name for their specific market in the digital
communications market.
    To fulfill current consumer demands for style and functionality in the
digital cordless phone market, Ascalade's 2007 DECT product line will provide
a variety of feature-rich enhancements including a Low Radiation DECT
technology for reducing the amount of standby and active radiation emitted
from the handset and telephone base, as well as speakerphones, polyphonic ring
tones, caller ID, digital answering machines and color LCD screens. The 2007
product line also showcases Ascalade's new industrial designs that cater to
the latest consumer demands for functionality and style.
