Move Designed To Leverage Strengths and Maximize Synergies Between U.S.
and Canadian Operations
WAYNE, N.J., September 10 /CNW/ - Toys "R" Us, Inc. today announced that
Ron Boire has been named President, Toys "R" Us, North America, effective
immediately. In this new capacity, Mr. Boire will continue to oversee all
merchandising, marketing and operations for the company's 586 stores and
e-commerce business throughout the United States, and will take on additional
responsibility for the company's 67 locations and e-commerce business in
Canada. In addition to his current direct reports, Monika Merz, President,
Toys "R" Us, Canada will now report to Mr. Boire in his new role.

Mr. Boire, 46, joined Toys "R" Us, Inc. in July 2006 as President of Toys
"R" Us, U.S. Prior to joining Toys "R" Us, Mr. Boire was Executive Vice
President and Global Merchandise Manager for Best Buy. Mr. Boire holds
Master's degrees from Columbia University, Columbia Business School and London
University, London Business School.
