MONTREAL, Nov. 8 /CNW Telbec/ - Robex Resources Inc (TSX-V: RBX) has
begun exploratory-deep-drilling on its Nampala deposit.
Robex plans to drill a minimum of 1,000 meters with this program. The
holes will be drilled to a depth of about 500 meters in the area of the large
lamprophyre mass, approximately 50 meters north of the Central
Section 1 234 200N. The holes will have an eastward bearing with a dip of -50
degrees to intersect two mineralized horizons previously identified by shallow
drilling. The goal is to intersect higher gold grades and to better understand
the relationship between structures controlling mineralization.
Drilling on Nampala had so far focused mainly on the first 100 meters of
depth. The deposit is however open to the north, to the west and at depth. The
few holes crossing the 100-metre level have intersected the mineralized
tonalite and higher grades, presenting a potential for richer mineralization
at depth. For example, a hole completed in 2004 intersected 13 meters grading
3.26 g/t Au approximately 150 meters below surface.
Both the presence of lamprophyre and a consistent halo of 1.0-1.2 g/t
mineralization above the100-meter level, suggest that the source of gold - and
higher grades - could be found at depth. A similar situation is encountered at
the Morila Mine, located nearby.
An independent 43-101 resources calculation report prepared for Robex in
June 2007, identified an inferred resource of 760,000oz Au. The Nampala
deposit is part of the Mininko property, South Mali, West Africa. It is
located between the Morila Mine (which produced over 4 Moz Au and still holds
approximately 2.8 Moz @ 2.7 g/t Au) and the Syama Mine (6.4 Moz @ 3.0 g/t Au).
Robex Resources is a gold exploration corporation active in Mali. Its
growth potential lies in the quality of its team, its projects, and on its
Management's objective to create value for its shareholders.
