Most auction lots ever to be sold in Saskatoon by Company - over 1,300
agricultural and industrial equipment items will fill the yard and will
be sold to the highest bidders
SASKATOON, April 3 /CNW/ - Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (NYSE and TSX: RBA),
the world's largest agricultural and industrial auctioneer, is conducting a
large, multi-million dollar unreserved public auction at its permanent auction
site in Saskatoon on April 9, 2009 starting at 9:00 a.m. local time. The
upcoming auction will feature something for everyone and will be the largest
ever held there in terms of the total number of items sold. More than 1,300
agricultural and industrial equipment items will be sold for more than 180
consignors. Every item will be sold unreserved to the highest bidders on
auction day regardless of price, with no reserve prices or minimum bids.
"This auction represents an exciting milestone for our Saskatoon
facility," said Jordan Clarke, Area Manager, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. "Not
only will it be the largest auction we've held here in terms of the total
number of lots sold, but also it will be the greatest variety of construction,
agricultural, transportation and recreational equipment we've ever had in a
single sale here."
The auction will feature agricultural and industrial equipment from over
180 different owners including Agritrac Equipment Ltd., Scharf Farm
Partnership, Garry's Construction, Mocon Construction Ltd., and Ritchie
Construction Ltd. The line-up of agricultural equipment being sold includes
2WD, 4WD, and MFWD tractors, combines, cultivators, sprayers, swathers, and
spreaders. Complete dispersals of property and equipment from four area farms
will also take place during the unreserved auction. Industrial equipment being
sold includes construction machinery such as crawler tractors, hydraulic
excavators, motor scrapers, loader backhoes and forklifts. The auction will
also feature a good selection of transportation equipment including various
types of trucks and trailers.
A parcel of real estate along the Torch River in Saskatchewan will also
be sold in the unreserved auction. The 10-acre plot of land features a
2,532-square foot, six-bedroom bungalow with a 12 x 30 foot deck, new wood
boiler and a 24 x 30 foot detached garage. The property, situated within the
northern White Fox forest close to Nipawin, has recreational potential for
hunting and fishing.
