"Method of Modular Pole Construction and Modular Pole Assembly"
CALGARY, Aug. 10 /CNW/ - Resin Systems Inc. ("RS") (RS - TSX), a
technology innovator and manufacturer of advanced composite products for
infrastructure markets, announced today that its RStandard(R) modular
composite poles now have patent protection in Canada. This patent supports
RS's broader commercial strategy of fully protecting its unique technology.
This patent, granted by the Canadian Intellectual Property Office,
combined with RS's existing resin patents, completes the protection of its
modular poles and structures.
Because of its varied geography, harsh environment and demanding terrain,
Canada's large transmission and distribution grid will benefit from our
modular pole technology," said Paul Giannelia, president and chief executive
officer of RS. "We look forward to doing our part to help harden and grow the
North American power grid, as well as contribute to the international power
and communications infrastructure market."
RS is a technology innovator that develops advanced composite material
products for infrastructure markets. The composite products manufactured using
the Company's proprietary resins and processes are typically lighter, more
durable and longer-lasting than competing products made from the traditional
building blocks of wood, steel or concrete.
RS's flagship product is its award-winning RStandard(R) composite pole.
The pole is used as transmission and distribution poles to carry electric
grids and as communication towers for various uses including wireless networks
and microwave communications systems.
