CALGARY, July 22 /CNW/ - Over the past few weeks there's been
considerable public debate about Alberta's energy situation. The province is
in need of additional infrastructure to meet growing demand for electricity,

The Crossfield Energy Centre will be a 120 MW natural gas-fired peaking
facility. It is designed to meet periods of peak electrical demand and is
expected to operate about 15 to 45 per cent of the time to help stabilize the
province's southern transmission grid.
