RCMP Hurricane Warning - RCMP Warn Public of Approaching Storm

    HALIFAX, Nov. 2 /CNW/ - Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police
(RCMP) are continuing to monitor Hurricane Noel through Environment Canada. 
At this time the RCMP is warning the public to stay away from the province's
shores and coastline due to the possibly of extremely higher sea surges on the
eastern side.
    RCMP is also warning the public to take normal precautions to ensure that
outside furniture and other items are properly secured or placed inside.  Also
ensure that you have a supply of water and batteries on hand.  Please stay
tuned to Environment Canada for weather reports regarding weather and wind
warnings related to Hurricane Noel.
