SHERBROOKE, Aug. 31 /CNW Telbec/ - The management of Raymond Chabot Grant
Thornton's (RCGT) Eastern Townships Region is proud to announce the arrival of
two new delegate partners to its Sherbrooke office, Chantal Touzin, CA and
Sylvie Mercier, CA, both formerly with the firm Gagnon Guérin Crook LLP. A
portion of Gagnon Guérin Crook's resources will join the Raymond Chabot Grant
Thornton team. This transaction is effective as of September 1.
"This transaction will allow us to significantly grow our market share in
the region's English-speaking business community while consolidating our
service offering, particularly in taxation," said Réal Létourneau,
Vice-president of RCGT's Eastern Townships Region.
"We wanted to join the Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton network in order to
better meet the growing needs of our clients, who will now benefit from RCGT's
expertise and vast range of services," said Chantal Touzin, CA, Partner with
the firm Gagnon Guérin Crook.
The arrival of these two delegate partners will increase the Sherbrooke
office's female ownership to 30%. Definitely a noteworthy development and one
that points not only to the continual rise in the number of women in the
profession, but also to the fact that women are benefiting from increasingly
greater access to decision-making positions.
