RAMTelecom Launches Global-IP Satellite Services

OTTAWA, Jan. 28 /CNW/ - RAMTelecom Inc. (TSX-V:RTC) today announced the
launch of its new broadband satellite network, "Global-IP", to meet the
increasing Internet-Protocol (IP) telecommunication demands of large
Enterprise customers throughout North America.
Global-IP, the premier satellite service, has a broad range of capability
to support the requirements for multiple VOIP, data and video conferencing
applications. "The service is carrier-grade, offering the same high security
and reliability as RAMTelecom's flagship Linkstar network," RAMTelecom COO
Gilles Desmarais commented. "The new network is ideally suited for large
mining operations, oil and gas camps, and ISP services in northern
communities," continued Desmarais. Service plans include fully dedicated or
shared links in a private network environment employing Quality Of Service
(QOS), encryption and acceleration technologies."
"Global-IP is a scalable network created to easily meet and exceed
terrestrial equivalents of T1 and above," stated RAMTelecom CEO Ralph Misener.
"We are proud to be part of the evolution and growth of RAMTelecom as a
premier telecom provider through the addition of a technology to our product
line which can be used anywhere in the world. Global IP is RAMTelecom's
response to the rising demand for higher bandwidth driven by the growth of our
client's remote operations in the mining, oil and gas and government sectors."
