Railpower appoints VP Marketing and Sales

    MONTREAL, Feb. 20 /CNW Telbec/ - Railpower Technologies Corp.
("Railpower" or the "Company") (TSX: P), a leader in specialized energy
technology systems for the transportation industry, today announced that
Mr. Michael Gillispie has been appointed Vice President of Marketing and Sales
North America. Mr. Gillispie joined Railpower in 2006 as Manager Systems
Engineering. He was later promoted to the position of Director Field Services
where he successfully reorganized that crucial function. He is renowned for
his deep knowledge of the Company's products and its customers operations.
    Mr. Gillispie has close to 30 years of experience in the North American
railway industry, gained in various positions with large locomotive
manufacturers. He also holds an engineering degree from the Washington State
    "Michael's technical expertise will increase our customers' awareness
regarding the advantages of our products and his reputation will contribute to
the growth of our order book, a priority for the up-coming months," said, José
Mathieu, President and CEO of Railpower.
    Mr. Norris, who previously held that position, has left the Company as of
today to pursue other opportunities.
    Railpower has approximately 150 locomotives in service making its fleet
of operating hybrid locomotives the largest in North America.
