OTTAWA, Dec. 14 /CNW Telbec/ - Patrick Brown, MP (Barrie), on behalf of
the Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and
Communities, along with the Honourable Jim Bradley, Ontario Minister of
Transportation, the Honourable Aileen Carroll, Ontario Minister of Culture and
MPP (Barrie), Dave Aspden, Mayor of Barrie, and Peter Smith, Chairman of GO
Transit, will host a celebration of the extension of GO Transit rail service
to Barrie, Ontario.
MP Brown, Minister Bradley, Minister Carroll, Mr. Aspden and Mr. Smith
will all be speaking at the event and a brief question and answer period will
follow. An inaugural GO Train ride from the new Barrie South Station to
Bradford Station and back is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. and media representatives
are invited to attend.
Community members are invited to attend this event featuring holiday
entertainment and refreshments.
