MONTREAL, June 12 /CNW Telbec/ - The Solidarity Fund QFL ("Fund") invites
the media to the launch of a new investment fund dedicated to social and
community housing in Montréal called the Montréal Acquisition Fund.
A press meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in
the building of the former Bellechasse Hospital located at 3950 Bellechasse
Street in the Rosemont borough of Montréal. The building is in the process of
being transformed as part of what is the first project backed by this fund.
René Roy, secretary of the Fund's board of directors and general
secretary of the QFL, Cosmo Maciocia, City of Montréal Executive Committee
member responsible for housing, André Lavallée, mayor of the Rosemont-La
Petite-Patrie borough and member of the City of Montréal's Executive
Committee, and Edith Cyr, director of Bâtir son quartier, will be among those
