over the world. It promises to be bigger and more exciting than
ever before, with a stellar array of over 100 top buskers from
Canada, the United States, Portugal, New Zealand, Australia,
Japan, and England in a powerhouse line-up that brings back the
very best from the past 10 years as well as showcases top new
acts. Audiences enjoy everything from high-flying acrobats and
awesome jugglers to rocking musicians and out-there magicians, as
well as a bevy of gastronomic delights, an avenue of artisans,
roving stilt walkers, human statues, chalk artists and more.
In ten short years, Scotiabank Toronto International BuskerFest
has evolved into one of the premiere events of its kind world-wide
and features the elite of street performers from around the globe.
The last of the major summer festivals in Toronto, Scotiabank
BuskerFest is expected to match or surpass the 1,000,000 estimated
spectators it attracted last year.
Proceeds from Scotiabank BuskerFest support the work of Epilepsy
Toronto on behalf of the 40,000 Torontonians who have epilepsy.
Scotiabank BuskerFest has helped raise close to one million
dollars for Epilepsy Toronto. Not only is Scotiabank BuskerFest
now the largest festival of its kind in North America, it is also
the largest Epilepsy awareness-raising event in the world.
Volunteers will be standing by the entrances, accepting donations
on behalf of Epilepsy Toronto, as crowds come and go.
