OTTAWA, Sept. 22 /CNW Telbec/ - The Canadian Emergency Services Boxing
Association (CESBA) and the Canadian Police Association (CPA) are hosting an
afternoon of sanctioned amateur boxing, with ten bouts, in support of the
CPA-Robert Warner Memorial Fund. This fund distributes an immediate, one time
financial assistance payment to the families of officers who lose their lives
in the line of duty.
"The Punch Up At Parliament" is one of the charitable events being hosted
during the National Police and Peace Officer Memorial weekend in Ottawa. The
weekend culminates with thousands of officers marching at a remembrance
ceremony, on Parliament Hill, in honour of fallen officers."
