TORONTO, March 25 /CNW/ - Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) President
Linda Haslam-Stroud, RN, will speak on the disastrous effect the competitive
bidding process has had on home care services in Ontario.
Haslam-Stroud will speak tomorrow in Committee Room 2 at Queen's Park as
part of an Ontario Health Coalition meeting on home care reform.
The Ontario government has recently halted the competitive bidding
process for home care services and is now reviewing the process. The meeting
is open to the public and media.
ONA is the union representing 54,000 registered nurses and allied health
professionals working in Ontario hospitals, long-term care facilities, public
health, the community and industry.
