LONGUEUIL, QC, April 21 /CNW Telbec/ - Serge Gendron, Eng., President of
Groupe AGF, invites the media to a news conference to announce details of the
first contract awarded for construction of the 42-kilometre stretch of Highway
30 between Châteauguay-Mercier and Vaudreuil-Dorion, with a portion of
expressway going toward Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.
This contract for the supply and installation of reinforcing steel is the
biggest ever awarded in Québec. It covers the entire 42-kilometre extension of
Highway 30, including the construction of two interchanges, two major bridges,
a tunnel, four additional bridges, 14 overpasses and a bicycle path.
It marks the start of work to complete this expressway.
The news conference will take place on Wednesday, April 22, at 11 a.m.,
at the AGF plant at 2270, rue Garneau, in Longueuil industrial park (from
Highway 20 east and Route 132 east, take the exit ramp on the right to
Marie-Victorin Boulevard in the direction of Québec City, turn right on
Marie-Victorin, then left on Rue Guimond and left again on Garneau).
Representatives of the Nouvelle Autoroute 30 S.E.N.C. consortium will be
attending the news conference.
