MONTREAL, Sept. 20 /CNW Telbec/ - Montreal will host the first in a
series of annual "Unite Against Aids" concerts planned to be held in cities
across Canada, in support of UNICEF's Unite for Children, Unite against AIDS
Members of the media are invited to attend a news conference at the Bell
Centre in Montreal on Tuesday, September 25th, where the full list of
performers for the Montreal concert, the date, and ticket information will be
announced. In addition, details of a youth video contest and a band contest in
connection with the concert will also be announced.
Net proceeds from the concert will benefit UNICEF's Unite for Children,
Unite against AIDS international campaign. This global campaign is the largest
ever mounted to bring the world's attention to the global impact of HIV/AIDS
on children and young people and ensure that this is the last generation of
children to bear the brunt of AIDS.
