TORONTO, March 14 /CNW Telbec/ - Chicken Farmers of Ontario (CFO) will be
hosting its Annual General Meeting at the Doubletree International Plaza
Hotel. This year's theme is "Our Industry, Our Partners, Our Future". Ontario
Agriculture Minister, the Honourable Leona Dombrowsky will make her second
annual appearance, delivering the keynote address at the evening banquet. The
Minister's Parliamentary Assistant Lou Rinaldi, MPP will open the day with
remarks to delegates in the morning. Other guest speakers include Ken Wong,
Associate Professor at Queen's University who will provide us with some
thoughts on the fundamentals for success in an evolving business environment.
The day will be a thoughtful review of the status of chicken farming in
Ontario and an insightful look at the future that we and our partners envision
for Ontario's chicken industry.

Chicken Farmers of Ontario (CFO) is a farmer-run, non-profit organization
representing more than 1,100 Ontario chicken farmers. It has been in existence
since 1965 and operates under a marketing system known as "supply management"
or "orderly marketing."
Ontario is the largest producer, processor and consumer of chicken in
Canada. Over 1,100 of Canada's 2800 chicken farmers live in Ontario. They
produce more than 303 million kilograms of chicken meat annually, valued at
over 467 million dollars before it leaves the farm.
