Quebec director wins Pop video of the year MuchMusic award

MONTREAL, June 25 /CNW Telbec/ - Much Music Pop video of the year went to
a Quebec producer, Renaud Stanton-Dupré, for the Private Dancer clip sung by
Danny Fernandes. The much awaited Toronto event comes as a gift to
Stanton-Dupré also a nominee for Video of the year category.
"The first thing I pitched was to move away a little from the overused
standards," says Dupre. I wanted to find something that would distinguish
Danny from other RB singers and not alienate him from his fans." Dupré
certainly made the right decision : Private Dancer help top position on the
canadian countdown for many weeks before getting this award against artists
like Esle Estrada (Crash and Burn), Karl Wolf (Africa) and Shiloh (Operator- A
girl like me). The shooting took place in Montreal during fall of 08.
MuchMusic Awards attracted thousands of music fans to see and hear stars
such as Lady GaGa , Black Eyed Peas and Nickelback.

Dupré's clip was produced by The Field of Toronto who represent him in
Canada. In Montreal, Aviva Communications play the same role.
