MONTREAL, June 4 /CNW Telbec/ - A recent survey has confirmed what most
people already knew: Quebec is home to the world's most beautiful women!
Budweiser, which for the past four years has been official beer of the Grand
Prix F1 of Canada, is making this fact even better known by bestowing the
title Budweiser B1 Girl on Julie Tavernier, who becomes the company's
ambassador in Quebec. The winner was chosen unanimously following a contest
that lasted more than a month and ended at a grand finale that attracted
500 people to Ocean Drive Night Club in Saint-Eustache on May 30.
The grand finale of the Budweiser B1 Girl contest was a resounding
success, with the presence of 10 popular, sexy and charming finalists
contributing to the electrifying ambience. The women had been chosen by
Internet users who voted online at www.budweiserb1.com throughout the month of
May. The 10 lovely ladies were then judged by a jury that included contest
spokesperson and former MusiquePlus VJ Izabelle Desjardins, Montreal singer
Jonas and Jean-Philippe Anwar, winner of the most recent version of Loft
"My fellow jury members and I certainly had our work cut out for us,
given that each candidate had an interesting profile," Ms. Desjardins
explained. "We finally chose Julie, whose charisma and ease speaking in public
gave her an edge over the other contestants."
A future star in the making
At the end of a thrilling evening, Julie was crowned Budweiser B1 Girl.
She will act as Budweiser's ambassador by participating in all the Budweiser
festivities planned during this summer's Grand Prix F1 of Canada. She will
also receive a professional contract for a photo session for a five-page
spread in the magazine Summum, a unique springboard that could result in a
future modelling career! Finally, the winner will receive $5,000 for a bursary
