Pure Technologies Wins Leak Detection Contract

    CALGARY, Jan. 23 /CNW/ - Pure Technologies Ltd., TSX-V: PUR, (Pure) today
announced that it has been awarded a contract valued at over $200,000US for
SmartBall(R) leak detection services by a water utility in the South Eastern
United States. This is the largest SmartBall(R) contract won by Pure following
the successful completion of a number of North American pilot projects and the
commencement of commercial service in October 2007. The scope of work includes
surveys of both water and wastewater pressure mains. Pure will execute the
contract through its U.S.-based operations group.
    Concurrent with North American market development in the water sector,
Pure has had significant initial interest from overseas markets. Working with
regional partners, we are planning to complete pilot projects for major water
agencies in the U.K., France and South East Asia during the first quarter of
2008.
