Priszm Income Fund and KFC Canada underline need for extracurricular school programs

Priszm and participating KFC restaurants continue fundraising for S'Cool
Life Fund with school ruler sales - more than $550,000 raised to date

TORONTO, Aug. 29 /CNW/ - While school-aged children prepare to return to
the classroom, Priszm Income Fund and participating KFC Canada restaurants are
taking measures to make life outside the classroom more enjoyable. Beginning
September 4, participating KFC Canada restaurants will sell school rulers to
fund extracurricular activities for school-aged children. Proceeds from the
ruler sales will be donated to the S'Cool Life Fund, a non-profit organization
that funds extracurricular activities in every province, at every
socio-economic level to ensure Canadian school children have enriched learning
experiences.
With a mission to give back and invest in the community, Priszm and KFC
Canada aim to make a difference with a commitment to continued education
outside of the classroom. During the past 18 months, Priszm and KFC Canada
have already raised more than $550,000 through the sale of KFC picnic bags and
paper airplanes, and aim to increase this amount through the sale of rulers.
"Supporting the communities in which we live and work by providing
extracurricular opportunities to children is important to our family of
employees at Priszm and KFC Canada," said Jeff O'Neill, president and COO.
"Through the purchase of KFC picnic bags, paper airplanes and rulers, our
customers can directly help kids participate in activities outside the
classroom that they could not otherwise enjoy due to lack of funding. Our
fundraising efforts for S'Cool Life Fund provide opportunities for children to
participate in their DREAMS: Drama, Recreation, Extracurricular, Arts, Music
and Sports."
Rulers go on sale from September 4 to October 2 and are available at
participating KFC Canada restaurants across the country.
