TORONTO, March 27 /CNW/ - Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd. ("Wesdome") today
announced that Paul Cregheur has decided to retire as President of Wesdome,
effective May 1, 2007.
Mr. Cregheur has been with Wesdome since 2000 (formerly River Gold Mines
Ltd.). Resident in Amos, Quebec, Mr. Cregheur currently oversees the
Corporation's operations and was instrumental in the acquisition of the Kiena
Complex in Val d'Or, Quebec in 2003 and its subsequent restart in 2006.
Wesdome Chairman, Rolly Uloth, thanked Mr. Cregheur for his contribution
to the growth of the Corporation. "Over the course of his 45 year career, Paul
has a successful record of finding and developing mining projects in Canada,
the USA and overseas. Under his guidance, Wesdome has become a leading junior
gold miner in the development of Wesdome's properties, specifically the Kiena
Complex in Val d'Or and the Eagle River mine in Wawa, Ontario. We wish Paul
well in his retirement and thank him for his guidance and vision over the last
7 years with Wesdome."
