TORONTO, April 2 /CNW/ - Platmin Limited (the "Company") (TSX/AIM: PPN)
announces today that, effective April 1, 2009, it has been continued into
British Columbia as a company under the British Columbia Business Corporations
Act. The Company's continuation into British Columbia was authorized by the
Company's shareholders at the special meeting held on March 27, 2009.
Platmin also announces that, effective at the completion of the
continuation, Jay Kellerman and Ron Little have resigned as directors of the
Company. The Board is considering replacement directors and will make the
necessary announcements as soon as practicable.
On behalf of the Company's board of directors, Chairman Keith Liddell
thanks Mr. Kellerman and Mr. Little for the valuable contributions they have
made to the Company in the almost six years that each has been a director.
Platmin is an emerging mid-tier platinum group metal producer. Platmin's
flagship, Pilanesberg platinum mine has started producing concentrate and is
currently ramping up to full production of 250,000 oz (4PGE) annually. Platmin
holds interests in a suite of development projects, notably Mphahlele,
Grootboom and Loskop, located in the Bushveld Complex of South Africa, which
is estimated to contain approximately 90% of global platinum mineral
