TORONTO, Nov. 1 /CNW/ - Panattoni Development Company, presently one of
the largest commercial and industrial real estate development firms in North
America, has opened a development office in Calgary, Alberta to service the
Calgary and Southern Alberta markets.
The company has appointed Michael Smele, Development Manager, to be
responsible for this office where he will supervise all activities related to
project development. This includes site acquisition, design, governmental
approvals, construction and leasing.
Michael has been based in Toronto for the last two years as part of the
Panattoni team where he has been involved in new construction, redevelopment
and land sale projects. Prior to joining Panattoni, he was an industrial real
estate agent in the Greater Toronto Area. In addition to his experience, Smele
shares the Panattoni broker-focused approach to real estate development and
The new office will be under the supervision of Andy Smele and Wade
Dobbin, Panattoni Canada partners located in Toronto, Ontario and the firm's
CEO, Dudley Mitchell, based out of Denver, Colorado.
This is the second office the firm has opened in Alberta. The other
office is located in Edmonton and services the Edmonton and Northern Alberta
markets. Panattoni currently has a total of 20 million square feet of
development underway or planned for 2007.
