PACE Polo For Heart June 20-22 in Richmond Hill

    Annual charity festival of "Horses, Hats and Hospitality" expected to be
    largest ever

    RICHMOND HILL, ON, June 17 /CNW/ - The 29th Annual PACE Polo For Heart
begins Friday, June 20 and runs through to Sunday, June 22. Two exciting
international polo matches at 12:15 p.m. and 2 p.m. daily highlight Canada's
largest charity polo festival featuring "horses, hats and hospitality".
Organizers invite the entire family to come out and enjoy a day in the country
at the 3-day tournament expected to raise a record $250,000 in support of the
Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario's Chase McEachern Tribute Fund and
Southlake Regional Cardiac Care Program.

    What:   29th Annual PACE Polo For Heart

    When:   Friday, June 20; Saturday, June 21; Sunday, June 22
            Gates open: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    Event Schedule:
            11 a.m. - Gates Open
            12 noon - Opening Ceremonies (welcoming remarks, polo pony/rider
            parade, car procession, "Parade of Hats" by Flare Group models,
            national anthem, VIP first ball toss-in
            12:15 p.m. - Game No. 1 - Nations Series
            1 p.m. - Half-time Show: Sky jumpers, kite flyers, game No. 1
            presentation ceremony, live band, divot stomp (everyone invited
            onto the field)
            2 p.m. - Game No. 2 - Nations Series
            3 p.m. - Game No. 2 Presentation ceremony, meet the players, live
            music with "Big Beat" and refreshments in the Entertainment

            Ongoing activities: Children's village with face painting,
            mini putt, arts & crafts and wooden horse demo., boutique tents
            of vendors & artisans, silent auction, Best Picnic and Hat
            contest (Sat. & Sun. only), 50/50 draw, picnic areas and stands

    Where:  Gormley Polo Centre, 13401 Leslie Street, Richmond Hill. Just
            south of Bloomington Road and west of Hwy 404.
