Three awards given to distinctive individuals and client teams
TORONTO, Sept. 9 /CNW/ - PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Canada is proud to
announce the recipients of the firm's inaugural 2009 CEO Award for the Alberta
region. The CEO Award is given out in three categories: People, Client and
Team, recognizing two individuals and one team that stand out and have
achieved outstanding results for PwC and its clients.
This year's Alberta region CEO Award winners include:
- Casey Charleson, Winner - People Category: In addition to taking on
responsibilities as an audit associate in PwC's Audit and Assurance
Group, Casey organized an employee relay race to encourage health and
wellness in the Edmonton office.
- Marissa Maitland Hare, Winner - Client Category: A member of PwC's
Human Resources Services group in Calgary, Marissa developed and
implemented processes to ensure that PwC's expatriate tax clients
would receive their tax returns and be able to file them by the
deadline from the country they were located in.
- University of Calgary client team, Winner - Team Category: The
success of the team of 25 stems from their demonstrated innovation
and teamwork in creating a new service area for the firm:
administrative operational review. The team developed a series of
recommendations to improve support service functions across the

offices are encouraged to submit nominations for the award in each of the
three categories. This year's Alberta region award recipients were selected
from a list of nominees by a regional nomination committee, to be recognized
during a local celebration event.

Recipients of the local office CEO Awards are also eligible to receive
the National CEO Award, which honours two PwC Canada staff members and one
team who go above and beyond to provide a distinctive experience to PwC's
people and clients. National winners will be announced in a special ceremony
on September 14, 2009.
