Ottawa Benefit Concert for Local Women's Shelters

    OTTAWA, May 5 /CNW Telbec/ - Jennifer Meade, a recording gospel music
artist from Montreal, QC, will host a benefit concert in Ottawa, ON, on
Saturday May 30th at Jazz'oo European Bar & Lounge (132 Sparks Street). "Sing
a New Song: An Evening with Jennifer Meade and Friends", is a fundraiser for
two local women's shelters: 'Harmony House Women's Shelter' and 'The Well'.
    Meade is an acclaimed Canadian recording gospel music artist who
currently resides in Montreal, QC but has a significant following in the
Ottawa area. This event will also feature gifted local talent: Ladies of
Gospel (LOG) as well as Donna Neil, who will be accompanied by harpist Louise
Ebeltoft. Media personality Alastair McAlastair will MC the event.
    Taking place at Jazz'oo European Bar & Lounge, a sophisticated but casual
lounge in the downtown area, this benefit concert will include a selection of
appetizers as well as mystery door prizes. Tickets for this event cost $25
until May 22, 2009 and $20 each for a group of 10 or more. Doors open at 6:00
