Ornge and OPSEU Negotiations Continue

TORONTO, Aug. 18 /CNW/ - Ornge, Ontario's aero medical transport service
organization and the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) are in
negotiations on behalf of Ornge communication centre staff (approximately 70
part and full time employees at Ornge).
As part of the current, ongoing negotiations an essential services
agreement was agreed to which ensures there will be no impact to patient care
should there be a work stoppage. During a scheduled break in the negotiation
process this past week OPSEU held a strike mandate vote.
Negotiations continue and both parties are scheduled to return to talks
on Tuesday August 21, 2007.
