An Issues-Based Multimedia Website, www.ispeakto.ca, Focuses On
Education, The Environment, Health and Community
TORONTO, Oct. 1 /CNW/ - Today, the Ontario Young Liberals launched the
second phase of their issues-based youth campaign, iSpeakto.ca, by launching
new testimonials around the issue of publicly funded education.
"The ispeakto.ca campaign was created to target young people who have
traditionally been reluctant to engage in the political process." said Delia
Greco, VP Provincial of the Ontario Young Liberals. "We know that young people
are very concerned about the issues - iSpeakto.ca is an environment where
youth can get informed and discuss the issues free of partisan spin."
ispeakto.ca is an issues-based campaign centered on four keys areas:
green (environment), opportunity (education), health and community and
information is shared through video clips, audio clips, articles and news
feeds. The campaign is designed to encourage youth to engage on the issues and
vote in the upcoming provincial election on October 10th.
"Publicly funded education, the state of our environment and public
health care are big parts of the ongoing debate in this provincial election"
said Robyn Cassidy, Executive Vice President of the Ontario Young Liberals.
"Our website examines how education, health care and the environment have
changed in the province of Ontario during the last four years. This website is
providing the facts, the people and the issues that youth are talking about in
the upcoming election. We have created a forum for youth to come together to
exchange ideas. It is real, it is personal and it is worth sharing."
To date close to 1,000 individuals have gathered on Facebook to support
the ispeakto.ca Group, and the iSpeakto.ca Street Team has already started to
visit university campuses across Ontario.
